So i wanted to make a post to spread the history of Dr. Angie King. Most of my vintage home decor and items comes from her home.
This is Angie Turner King and my husband"s gran used to take care of her in her later years and then her grandson. They both had traveled the world and collected amazing items. Sadly the house sold and no one could hold onto all the stuff and her daughter just wanted a few things. I hope you can appreciate the history of where some of these things came from.

Not only was she the First Black woman to get a PhD in Chemistry she did amazing work for West Virginia State University which is an HBCU in WV. But she did a lot of work for women. She came up and had a rough upbringing but turned it around and became a National Treasure and State Hero.
I"m so proud to have her items throughout my home and I hope you will too!
